One of the most important structures in the Jamestown community is the Jamestown Library.  The former Jamestown Public School, the stately building was constructed in 1915, after the original Jamestown school was destroyed in a fire.

Welcome To Beautiful Jamestown, North Carolina

It’s easy to see why people enjoy living in Jamestown.  With it’s natural beauty and historic charm, the town has a unique character all of its own not seen elsewhere in the Piedmont Triad.  Residents enjoy seeing on a daily basis the rolling hills, giant oak trees, peaceful pastures, historic buildings, quiet parks, and small town atmosphere.

Beautiful Parks And Outdoor Areas

Jamestown residents are very lucky to have several great outdoor amenities that are located in town and that greatly enhance life for its residents.  Probably two of the most popular park and recreational features in Jamestown are the City Lake Park and the Jamestown Municipal Golf Course, one of the best golf courses in the Triad area.

The Jamestown Public Library

One of the most well-known structures in Jamestown and the center of the community is the Jamestown Library, built in 1915.  The building was designed by Raleigh architect Charles Hartge in the neoclassical style, featuring large ionic columns in front, elaborate brickwork, and front portico.

Historic Mendenhall Plantation In Jamestown

One of the most important historic sites in Jamestown and listed on the National Register of Historic Places is the homesite and plantation owned by local Quaker Richard Mendenhall, built around 1811.   There is an old bank barn, school house, store, Jamestown rifle display, a tanning table, and more.
