Jamestown Parks, City Lake, And Golf Course

Jamestown residents are very lucky to have several great outdoor amenities that are located in town and that greatly enhance life for its residents.

Probably two of the most popular park and recreational features in Jamestown are the City Lake Park and the Jamestown Municipal Golf Course, which has been recognized as one of the best public golf courses in the Triad area.

There’s plenty to do for the family in Jamestown at the various parks and sports facilities.

The City Lake Park is located on West Main Street in the downtown area and offers plenty to do for both old and young alike. The park is operated by the City of High Point.

You can rent a paddle boat, launch your own canoe, fish from the banks of the 340 acre lake (registration required), have a picnic or enjoy the various walking trails throughout the facility.

You can also play miniature golf and ride the carousel on the weekends.

In addition, a large waterslide section and one of the largest public swimming pools in the southeast are open to the public and pontoon boat rides are available.

Enjoy the amusement rides from the last weekend in April through the second weekend in October. The pool section opens Memorial Day weekend and is open until the week before Guildford County schools open.

A beautiful place to come and relax, the City Lake Park is of the nicest park and lake facilities that you will find in an urban setting in North Carolina.

Jamestown Golf Course

Jamestown boasts one of the finest municipal golf courses in the southeast.

The Jamestown Park Golf Course is a championship 18 hole golf course with 6,700 yards and a par of 72.

A beautiful course with plenty of trees and scenery, the course is located in the heart of Jamestown at 7041 East Fork Road. The course has a driving range, snack bar, and pro shop.

If you’re looking for golf lessons, the Jamestown Park Course also offers individual lessons as well.

In addition, Jamestown Park also offers baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts and covered shelters.

March-October:

Mondays 11am to 7pm

Tuesday to Sunday 8am to 7pm

November- February:

Monday to Sunday 8 am to 5pm
